"Art for the Aching Heart" Paintings for Those in Need

I started a new program called, “Art for the Aching Heart.“ In this program, I paint FREE paintings for people who need comfort to help them through challenging periods. The Painting I did was for my long-time friend, Beverly, who discovered she had advanced cancer. I asked her if I could paint her something that would give her hope and inspiration. She asked me to paint beautiful blue butterflies.

Butterflies in general have many meanings within different cultures, with the most common being symbols for life, love, change or rebirth. The color blue in a butterfly is often thought to symbolize joy, color or a change in luck. Sometimes a blue butterfly is viewed as a wish granter.

Two weeks later, my oldest brother had a devastating medical diagnosis that impacted his life, family, and friends. I asked him the same questions I asked Beverly-”What can I paint to help you through this challenging time?” This time, I also asked his wife, daughter, and son what I could paint for them. I am currently painting one painting for each member of his family.

If you would like to have a free painting done for yourself, family member, or someone you care about, please fill out the application. All I ask is that you cover the cost of shipping (Most paintings ship for $12). NancyFaganMurphy@icloud.com
